Rules and Regulations
Proper equipment for class includes a nylon martingale style collar, a 6 ft nylon leash, and training treats. Please see our list of recommended equipment and treats. For small breed or brachycephalic dogs, we recommend a training harness in lieu of a collar. We utilize positive reinforcement methods, and we do not recommend the use of shock, pinch, or choke collars.
At the first class you will receive a folder with valuable training tips and a class syllabus, and at the end of each class you will receive a lesson summary. The last class will include games, prizes, graduation certificates, goodie bags and light refreshments! Due to limited space, we recommend that no more than 2 people per dog attend each class. Please refrain from bringing small children to class, as your undivided attention is requested. Children are allowed to participate with adult supervision, but please understand you are ultimately responsible for training your dog. Your dog’s success will vary depending on your level of consistency and commitment when applying the training techniques demonstrated, and therefore cannot be guaranteed. You are ultimately responsible for your dog and his/her actions at all times during class. Dogs displaying disruptive or aggressive behavior may be asked to leave, and private training may be recommended. Payment is due at the time of registration, and is not refundable. Make up classes will be determined on a case by case basis. If we have less than 4 puppies register for class, it will be rescheduled. Your payment can be used for the next upcoming class or it can be applied towards private lessons. |
